While sudden change in weather brought relief from the blistering heat in many parts of the nation, heavy rainfall accompanied with dust storm created havoc in Rajasthan killing six people in the state yesterday.Unseasonal rain, thunderstorms and lightning were also witnessed in many parts of Maharashtra and Gujarat.According to reports, atleast 11 people were killed in Gujarat as the region pre-monsoon showers lashed the region and 12 people were reported dead in April in various incidents in Maharashtra.
Madhya Pradesh saw a death toll of 16 people in last two days due to sudden change in weather.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed anguish over loss of lives in various parts of Gujarat due to unseasonal rain.
"Authorities are monitoring the situation very closely. All possible assistance is being given to those affected," he tweeted.
