Pilots eject safely as two Surya Kiran aircraft meet head-on collision in Bengaluru
Two military aircraft of the Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team (SKAT) today met with a head on collision during the routine practice ahead of the Bengaluru Aero India 2019 that begins on February 20. But the good news is that both the pilots managed to eject safely in the crash.
Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team was formed in 1996 and is part of the 52nd squadron of the Indian Air Force. The team specialises in aerobatics formation.
One civilian was injured in the incident, said Bengaluru Police. The debris of the aircraft fell near ISRO layout, Yelahanka new town area, they said.
